Is this a dream product???

You will lead a highly motivated team developing an innovative new tool, codenamed Thermo, that will enable designers and creatively inclined developers to easily build rich internet applications and interactive content. “Thermo” will streamline the process of adding interactivity, behavior and motion to creative assets and will work seamlessly with both Adobe’s Creative Suite tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and Flash, and with developer oriented tools such as Flex Builder.

Thermo is a strategic project for Adobe. It will enable designers to more efficiently build the richer experiences that are reshaping the internet and give developers greater control over creative assets without leaving the development paradigm that fits the way they work.

And it looks like the cats out the bag... Thermo will be forming a big part of the keynote at Adobe Max (Europe) in a couple of weeks.

Don't Panic the flyer distribution peeps are running a poster competition with Warner Brothers to promote the release of Michel Gondry's new film The Science Of Sleep. All poster entries can be viewed on the Don't Panic website and voted for by yourselves. Winning designs will be exhibited at The Curzon Cinema and all entrants will be invited to the pre-release viewing. There's still time to enter...

Po-bo finds another birdfriend

Po-bo flew back from Cornwall this week with news of a holiday romance. I can see why he might fancy the Cornwall Film Festival bird. Agency A-side, enviably located in surfers' paradise, have used the cornish symbol in the ident for the festival. It is a very striking design - using monotone illustrations associated with film/cornwall, wrapped into the shape of the Chough. The branding is then applied to a set of printed stuff, such a shame the brief didn't extend to the somewhat contrasting website.

Trees that draw

No really.  Artist, Tim Knowles creates drawings independent of his own hand, using elaborate apparatus or time consuming practices.

Here a Willow tree shows its prowess with a set of technical pens with just the wind to guide it. Beautiful stuff, just ignore the high brow arty nonse that goes with it...
